Magnolia Brewery
From hippy movement to Dogpatch industrial, this project shines with whimsy and charm.
The vision for the Magnolia Dogpatch location was to create a San Francisco brewery for the people. Magnolia holds a story of the original owner’s history, but this location allowed us an opportunity to rethink the designs associated with breweries in general. The layout is both restaurant, beer garden and event space, so there is a challenge in making sure all of those areas relate. By integrating botanicals, graphic patterns and bold brass details to unite the spaces we were able to capture the essence of old and layer in the new. A Twiggy black and white floral photo, Frank Stella inspired mural, and mid century leaning custom lighting all came together beautifully in a swirl of Magnolia’s brand color palette.
