Gusto

Classic Roman architecture shapes a fast casual Pinsa shop not to be confused with your typical classic slice house

Gusto is a fast casual pinsa restaurant located in downtown San Francisco. This small square footage pumps out a surprising number of delicious offerings in a fast casual setting with minimal seating.

The roman inspiration of the gusto concept came directly from the client. He wanted the pinsa, a roman style pizza, to be highlighted and distinguished from what he called “ordinary pizza”. The graphic design and color palette all came out of that and his desire for a richness and lux to be layered into a concept that felt casual and approachable. Dark chocolate brown and a lively olive green was the chosen palette for the interiors and brand along with pops and highlights of black and white.
